Privacy Policy
Introduction
At MailerSquad.com, protecting your privacy and the privacy of your customers is a top priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data collection, processing, storage, and disclosure while ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws.
Data Collection and Processing
We collect and process personal and non-personal data for the operation of our services. Personal data refers to any information that identifies an individual, while non-personal data includes technical information that does not directly identify an individual.
Personal Data We Collect:
- Customers: We collect data such as name, email address, phone number, billing information, and any other information required to provide services.
- Subscribers: Data includes email addresses and any additional details collected via customer forms or data source on our platform.
Non-Personal Data We Collect:
- Technical Information: We collect device and browser information, IP addresses, cookies, and analytics data to optimize our platform and provide a better user experience.
We process this data to fulfill contractual obligations, deliver services, and for legitimate business interests such as improving our products and marketing.
Legal Basis for Processing
Consent
- When you use our services or submit information through forms, you consent to the collection, processing, and sharing of your data in accordance with this policy.
Performance of a Contract
- We process personal data to provide services and maintain customer accounts in compliance with legal agreements.
Legal Compliance
- We may process data as required by law, including for regulatory adherence and fraud prevention.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data to third parties. However, we may share your information in the following circumstances:
Third-Party Service Providers:
- We work with trusted third-party providers for services such as payment processing, email delivery, and marketing. These providers have access to your data only to perform their specific functions and are obligated to protect it.
Legal Requirements:
- We may disclose your data when required by law or in response to valid legal requests from public authorities.
User Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request corrections to any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile page, without contacting us. You may also request the deletion of your data by contacting us. Either way, deletion is subject to the limited legal retention described under Data Retention below.
- Objection: You have the right to object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
Account deletion is available directly in your account settings. To exercise any of the other rights, please contact us via our contact page. We respond to requests within one month.
Account Deletion and Data Retention
When you delete your account, we do not erase it instantly. Deletion is scheduled for 30 days later, and during that period your account is restricted rather than active: sending stops immediately, your signup forms stop accepting new subscribers, your paid subscription is canceled, and your account becomes read-only. The only purpose of this period is to let you reverse the request if it was made in error or without your consent, and you can cancel the deletion at any point within it by signing in.
- What is erased after 30 days: Your company profile, your subscribers and subscriber groups, your campaigns, forms, templates, sending domains and suppression list, and the files you uploaded. This is permanent and cannot be reversed.
- What we keep, and why: We retain a minimal billing record — your name, contact and billing address, the plan you were on, the amounts paid, and the identifiers that point to your invoices — for 7 years after deletion. Tax and accounting law obliges us to keep these records, and they also allow us to respond to a payment dispute. This record contains none of your subscriber, campaign or content data, and it is deleted automatically once that period ends.
- Subscriber data: For the contact data you upload, you are the data controller and we act as your processor. When your account closes, that data is deleted along with it rather than retained for any purpose of our own.
Outside of account deletion, we retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Data may be retained for longer periods where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our platform, analyze traffic, and provide targeted advertising. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While we strive to protect your information, we advise you to maintain the security of your account credentials.
Non-Discrimination
We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights. All users are entitled to the same quality of service regardless of their choices regarding data processing.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such data.
Policy Updates
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
